Developing a right mindset can be the essence of life. It can determine the overall quality of your life. The mindset of a person is the overall knowledge and beliefs that have been engraved in the mind through which life is perceived and realized. The mindset of the person can be a fixed or growth nature. A fixed mindset is one that cannot be changed and a growth mindset is that which evolves with the person. It is advisable to have a growth mindset which allows us to improve our life or make changes to life whenever the need arises.
Quoting Steve Jobs, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards...” This quote when thought of as to how it can affect our life brings us to the point where we can say that we need to be ready to change our mindset when necessary and take the necessary steps in life to reach our destiny. For some it will tough to change their mindset but here are certain ways that will help us develop a shift in our mindset and bring a positive change in our life.
1. Analyse your reality
The first step to making a positive change in your life is self-awareness. You need to be self-aware which will bring you to your reality. You need to analyse your reality and make a note at what point in your life are you currently existing. Once you have analysed your reality, you will know which aspects of your life you are lacking and where you are already doing well.
2. Make a note
Once you have analyzed your life, you will need to make a note in your diary. Firstly you will need to note down what is that you analysed, what are the strong areas of your life and what are the weak areas of your life? Secondly, you will need to note down what are the small changes that you can make today that can help you change your life for the better? Lastly, you will need to note down how will you make these changes in your life? These answers have to come from you, nobody can help you with these answers, but yourself. If you do not know the answer to some of the solutions, make a note that you have to find the solution and leave it to your mind to figure out. Your mind will give you the solution, whenever it does fill in the note that you have left behind.
3. Start living it
Knowing your reality and how to make the positive change in your mindset to change your life is not enough. The key to living a good life is practicing those changes, start small and make those changes to your life today. Small steps everyday towards your desired mindset can change your life.
